Experience, skill, a gentle, caring presence
 - the role of the doula is unique in maternity care.

“Sabine helped me to feel at ease and confident that we would have the back-up necessary for a happy and healthy birth experience” - AV

Childbirth can be an exhilarating, exciting time; it can also be a confusing and overwhelming time. Before, during and after childbirth, we provide continuous, individualized attention that supports the emotional and physical well-being of mother and child.

Labor & Birth Doula Services

As labor progresses, the calming presence of another woman experienced in normal childbirth is extraordinarily reassuring to both mother and partner.

In addition to greatly enhancing the mother’s comfort, the doula may also assist both mother and partner to understand birthing options and to make informed decisions.

Doulas offer birth mothers, babies and partners a unique level of skill, commitment and support.

Who needs a Postpartum Doula?

Most families plan in advance for a postpartum doula, describing the peace of mind that comes with knowing that help is lined up after the baby comes. Other families come to a sudden realization that they need help. It may be that friends and family weren't able to help as much as first thought, or perhaps an unexpected complication or health issue has made recovery or baby care more stressful. Planning ahead when possible will ensure that Postpartum Doula Care is available.
